This year Amelia celebrates the 44th edition of the Palio dei Colombi. Dated back to 1346, the old documents contained the rules all citizens had to follow. Five districts in a really special contest: crossbowmen, knights and processions in period dress.

Montone remebers and celebrates Braccio ForteBracci da Montone, the great captain of fortune whose son, Carlo, brought the relic of the Holy Thorn as a gift in 1437 to bring honour and prestige to his country and his people. A week context between the 3 districts of the town: theatrical plays and archery tournaments to win the Palio and crown its own Castellana.
